A little higher to the left, please.

I forgot to post about Maya's recent visit to the doctor. After about 4 years, her doctor felt like it was time to re-test her allergies.

They tested different plants, cat, dog, feather, dust mite, egg, peanut and few others. Peanut was by far the largest reaction. Look's like she still can't (and probably never will be able to) have any PB&J sandwiches.

Maya was a really trooper. She only cried for a few moments! But it was very obvious that she was extremely uncomfortable.

The doctor also tested her asthma and was more concerned about keeping that under control than the allergy results.

We left the office with a stack of prescriptions and information.

Oy, those pictures bring back memories. First off, that really sucks they do those tests on little kids on their backs. The last time I got one was on my arms and that was miserable enough.

Being an asthmatic (and severe allergies) all of my life, I really sympathize with you and Maya.

I wasn't introduced to maintenance drugs (except for the albuterol inhaler and nebbies) until i was in my 20s.

Poor Maya. That stinks. Now you know why I do not want to ever have to take that test. Yuck

Thanks guys. She did a lot better than the first time. Maybe because she is able to understand the process now and we had prepared her for it for a couple of weeks. It was no fun to watch.
